Join this 7 month hands-on series on Wearable Art as we explore fitting, fabric strategies, techniques, closures and other finishing touches, and even reviews of some basic dressmaking skills. Class time will include slide shows, examples, demos, help with fitting, in-class sewing - with help - on your special piece of Wearable Art. Some assignments will be done at home on additional garments. Our series culminates with a Fashion Show (June 2011 date TBD) for friends, families and customers of QuiltWorks Northwest. Emphasis will be on garments that are actually wearable in the real world. Basic knowledge of garment construction required. You do NOT need to be a couture seamstress OR have a svelte body!
